Ellen & Jonathan – Faithlegg House Hotel

Meeting Ellen an Jonathan a few weeks before their wedding I knew these two were going to have a blast of a wedding day!

After the initial phonecall and chat with the bride to be, we set up a pre wedding shoot! A little get to know each other. I like to meet the Bride and Groom before the big day. It settles everyone. It helps get the couple comfortable in front of the camera and it helps me gage what to expect on the day.  We talk about everything from how they met to bridesmaids to the ceremony to flowers to wedding bands and all bits in between.  All the time I’m clicking away capturing the excitement of the build up to the Wedding Day.

It’s not every couple would brave the waters of the River Nore but these two were game for anything.

Fast forward to the 24th of June, the big day had arrived and I found myself in the happiest house in the country!

As Ellen got ready with her Mam and bridesmaids, her Dad busied himself making tea and doing odd jobs so as to hold back the tears!

The girls were in flying form. Taking turns in the hair and make up chair while all the time the music was pumping. We headed outside from some action shots of the Bride to Be having the craic with her ladies as they skipped through the garden! More than one neighbour passed and gave a generous “Beep” of encouragement!

While the girls skipped and sipped my good friend and colleague Sandra Garzon Photography was busy with the boys. She caught the calm of groom prep beautifully. Jonathan’s parents were there to help keep things in order. And lucky for Jono and the Groomsmen there was even time for a pint of the black stuff.

Back to Mullinavat and its time to put on the gown.

We kept Dad locked in the kitchen as everyone helped each other into their dresses and he waited patiently for the reveal.

Looking gorgeous and ready to go it was finally time to let Dad in on the act.

There is nothing quite like a Daddy’s face as he sees his little girl in her wedding gown.

There was just enough time for a Kitchen disco before hitting the road to Faithlegg House Hotel

As Ellen walked down the aisle to her future husband, she simply beamed.

The ceremony was a personal and  beautiful union of two gorgeous families.

After the newlyweds greeted their guests in the sunshine it was time for some formal family pictures in the garden and a few fun ones too…..

After dinner and speeches it was time for the first dance. And this music loving disco dancing bride did not disappoint. Ellen and her brand new hubby absolutely rocked the dancefloor!
